Christmas is the Time for Giving!

Here at GameDuell, we don’t just want to build a long-term successful and sustainable company, but also contribute to a better world for everyone. So many of our team members were in the giving mood this past holiday season and donated their annual Christmas present to a charity.

Four months ago, it was time for our yearly Christmas donation.

We always try to find initiatives and organizations with a playful aspect in order to light up some people's lives. This time we decided to support two wonderful organizations… drum roll…

We want to spread the word about these two cool charitable projects, Pfeffersport e.V. and wirmachenwelle e.V., which we were more than happy to support with our annual Christmas donation.

More than just sports: the sports club "SG Handicap Berlin e.V."

With over 423 members, Charlottenburg-based sports club SG Handicap e.V. plays an important role in enabling people with disabilities in Berlin to stay active. We were very happy to donate to such an important cause.

Fördern durch Spielmittel e.V. receives GameDuell Christmas donation to support the toy library

It seems that our Green Team never ceases to find exceptional initiatives and organisations that we can support through our Christmas donation. We’re very happy to contribute something to this gem, which is the Berlin “Fördern durch Spielmittel e.V. (“Further through Games Association”).

Donation to the children’s paradise Kolle 37 in the heart of Berlin

Our Fluffies found a real nature haven right in the middle of our bustling city. Last year we decided to give GameDuell’s 4th quarter charity donation to the Adventure Playground Kolle 37 located in Berlin’s district Prenzlauer Berg. The initiative offers an open recreational space for children from 6 to 16 years where they can have a great time together and learn a lot in various courses and activities offered, ranging from climbing to safe bonfire practices.

Programming robots with our charity donation

We love sharing our passion for technology. That’s why our quarterly donation went to the Seniors Computer Club Berlin (SCC Berlin) in December, 2015. Our proceeds helped fund two Roberta robotic training modules developed by Fraunhofer Institute and Lego. The SCC will do inter-generational trainings with the devices at schools. Earlier this month SCC Berlin came in to the office to show us how we could program our own robotic cars with it.
