Webmontag @ GameDuell

How to create a cross-platform experience using HTML5, OpenGL and Adobe Air? The next Webmontag will give an answer to this question while exploring the topic of cross-platform development from different technological angles. The event will be hosted by Gameduell on Monday, March 31st, starting at 6 p.m. in our event lounge in Taubenstr. 24-25, 10117 Berlin.

With smartphones and tablets almost everybody has a game console in their pocket nowadays. Providers that can offer users a seamless experience independently from their chosen device gain a significant competitive advantage over those who don’t. And that’s not only the case in the games industry.

GameDuell’s game architects Josep Prat, Sven Otto and Enrico Paiardi will explain how the team tackled the challenges of developing a cross-platform infrastructure based on a central game server solution and how they built smart game clients based on HTML 5. They will explain Gameduell’s mobile game engine development and demystify OpenGL. Finally they are going to discuss cross platform compilation as well as the production flow and introduce tools suitable for cross-platform development such as Adobe AIR. As usual the evening will be concluded with a get together accompanied by snacks and drinks. Free Registration

Free registration is now open on Eventbrite.
