GameDuell's 2024 Commitment to Giving Back

At GameDuell, we're passionate about making a positive impact on our community. We believe that social responsibility is at the heart of who we are, and we're committed to supporting a wide range of charitable organizations and initiatives throughout the year. This commitment not only benefits local and international causes but also fosters a culture of giving among our team members.

For our last company charity donation in December 2024, we chose to support the SeniorenComputerClub Berlin Mitte e.V. as a commitment to enhancing digital participation among older people. Our donation will enable them to upgrade their facilities with space-saving folding tables and a smart digital board, creating a more engaging learning environment for their members. This investment enables the club to offer more people access to digital learning. Just before Christmas, we personally presented the check, capturing the moment in a special photo.

During the holiday season, our team came together for our Make-a-Wish program. Instead of receiving traditional Christmas gifts, we chose to support non-profit organizations that make a real difference. This time, we raised donations for several remarkable causes:

Silbernetz e.V. is on a mission to ensure no elderly person feels isolated or forgotten. To this day, they handled almost 750,000 calls from lonely seniors seeking connection. Our contribution supports the “Silbertelefon” hotline, offering a friendly voice to those who need it most, “Silbernetz-Friends”, who make regular calls to elderly individuals, and “Silberinfo,” connecting seniors with vital services and resources

Arbeitskreis Igelschutz Berlin e.V. is a passionate group of volunteers who are dedicated to caring for one of nature's most charming creatures - hedgehogs. These prickly fellas face numerous challenges in urban settings, and they need our help to survive. Our donation supports their volunteer-run hedgehog stations that provide treatment for sick and injured animals, intensive care for orphaned baby hedgehogs who need nurturing until they can thrive on their own, and safe hibernation environments for hedgehogs during the winter months

The vision of Ozeankind e.V. is a world where children lead the fight against plastic pollution. Through innovative education programs and hands-on recycling projects, they're empowering young people in Germany and Zanzibar. Our donation helps to bring environmental education to classrooms, to organize beach clean-ups that remove tons of plastic waste and it supports their “SwopShops” where children trade collected plastic for useful items

Furthermore, with our Donation Doubler program we matched our team member’s charity donations, who helped to support a diverse range of organizations, from sports, music, cultural exchange, humanitarian aid, maritime resuce, to a non-profit organization focused on cleaning oceans from plastic waste.

By actively engaging in charitable activities and supporting our team members' philanthropic efforts, we aim to inspire others to join us in making a positive difference. Our commitment to giving back is not just about donations; it's about fostering a culture of compassion and community involvement that resonates throughout our organization.

As we continue on this path, we look forward to supporting more initiatives and organizations in the future, contributing to a brighter and more sustainable world for everyone.
