GameDuell invites the Berlin tech community to the next edition of its TechTalk event series. Technology expert Ed Burns of Oracle gives an inside perspective on JavaServer Faces 2.2 during Berlin presentation.

GameDuell invites the Berlin tech community to the next edition of its TechTalk event series. On November 18th 2013 Oracle technology lead Ed Burns will give an evening lecture about the new JavaServer Faces 2.2 specifications. Ed Burns is a Consulting Member of the Technical Staff at Oracle America, Inc. and has worked on a wide variety of client and server side web technologies since 1994 including NCSA Mosaic, Mozilla, the Sun Java Plugin, Jakarta Tomcat and most recently JavaServer Faces (JSF). As specification lead for JSF he is directly involved in defining one of the most important web development standards that is used for building component-based user interfaces for web applications. The talk will start at 18:30 sharp in GameDuell’s event lounge located in Berlin-Mitte. Since 2010 the developer and operator of casual online and mobile games has established the TechTalk event series, where leading experts in the field of web technology discuss their areas of expertise with an audience of IT engineers and senior developers. Markup Changes, Push Technologies and Resource Library Contracts

During his GameDuell TechTalk, Ed Burns will deliver an inside perspective about the

markup changes of JSF 2.2 and the HTML 5 support. He will explain how JSF integrates with new push technologies such as Websockets. Besides that he will talk about Server Side Events, the resource library contracts and Facelets. Ed Burns is an internationally renowned conference speaker with regular presentations at JavaOne, JAOO, JAX, W-JAX, No Fluff Just Stuff, JA-SIG, The Ajax Experience and Java and Linux User Groups.
