GameDuell TechTalk with Greg Luck

| by Axel | published under TechTalk

On 11 February 2016 the Hazelcast CEO will speak about the standardized Java caching layer API JCache.

Caching is a frequently used technique for speeding up the performance of any web infrastructure. Engineers use it for off-loading non-scalable or expensive infrastructure, scaling systems and coping with large processing peaks. In his GameDuell TechTalk Greg Luck will introduce the audience to the theory of caching technology. He will highlight the key points that all developers should consider when applying caching. The CEO of Hazelcast will then take a comprehensive look at the new JCache standard and how it can be applied to the usage of caching in Java environments.

About the speaker

Greg was the co-spec lead on the recently completed JSR107 JCache specification and founder of Ehcache. He is a member of the JCP Executive Committee and CEO of Hazelcast. Prior to that, he was CTO at Terracotta.
