On Wednesday evening, the members of media.net berlinbrandenburg met in Berlin for their annual conference to cast their votes.
The now twelve member board of the regional media network comprises of media personalities from initiators to CEO’s, these include: Bernd Schiphorst, UFA CEO Prof. Dr. Susanne Stürmer, Universal Music Chairman and CEO Frank Briegmann, Head of Management Electronic Media for Axel Springer, Dr. Jens Müffelmann, and Studio Babelsberg Chairman Christoph Fisser.
Newly elected to the board for coming two years are entrepreneur Stephanie Richter, Bidmanagement GmbH and Boris Wasmuth, GameDuell GmbH.
A successful 2012
CEO Andrea Peters looks back at a successful 2012. Last year more than 100 new companies joined the network, increasing membership to almost 380. For almost the past twelve years, media.net berlinbrandenburg has been one of the largest and most successful regional networks in Germany’s media industry.
They represent established and global enterprises across various sectors and different countries, such as Axel Springer, BBDO, Deutsche Telekom, Studio Babelsberg and Universal Music as well as over 100 young companies like Bidmanagement/ Adspert and GameDuell. The independent association’s aim is to network stakeholders on-site and work in the interests of improving national and state conditions.
The media.net Board of Directors consists of:
Stephanie Richter, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Bidmanagement GmbH/ Adspert, will focus in particular on the theme of startups and women in leading positions and as entrepreneurs. Adspert was founded at the end of 2010 by Marcel Pirlich, Stephanie Richter and Harald Bartel in a courtyard in Berlin. A year later saw the launch of the innovative Adspert technology.
"Our firm, Adspert, has been part of the media.net network as a member and participant in the media.net:catapult program and the Investors’ Dinner. We have profited greatly from our involvement. I would like to share my experiences as a member of media.net and give back to the young, dynamic and technologically orientated scene in Berlin and Brandenburg."Boris Wasmuth, Managing Director Marketing & Co-Founder of GameDuell, will support the operational management with a particular focus on games. With more than 80 million registered users, GameDuell, founded in 2003 by Kai Bolik, Michael Kalkowski and Boris Wasmuth, is one of the leading casual and social games providers in the western hemisphere.
