German games company with recruiting stand at international games conference, HTML5 Game Architect Josep Prat speaks as part of the conference program about cross-platform development
GameDuell is one of the main sponsors of the international games conference Gamelab taking place in Barcelona from June 25th to 27th. The games provider and developer will give an insight into its current game projects at its stand in the Filmoteca de Catalunya. As part of the conference program GameDuell‘s Game Architect, Josep Prat, will explain the company’s Cross-Platform Approach based on HTML 5 and Java on the first conference day starting at 11:00 a.m. Gamelab features an impressive line-up of speakers, including Tim Schafer, Jade Raymond, Peter Molyneux, John Smedley, and Unity founder David Helgason. The complete conference program is now available on the Gamelab website.
Seamless Playing Experience in Focus In the exhibition area of Gamelab, GameDuell will present its recently released multi-platform game ‘Belote’. With a web version for desktop computers, an HTML5 version for mobile devices, a native iPad app and a Facebook app, players have been able to access it almost identically on four different platforms since April. They all run parallel to each other on the same Game Server Architecture developed by GameDuell inhouse. In order to provide a seamless playing experience for players, game accounts between the Web and HTML5 version as well as between the iPad and Facebook version are synchronized. With its mobile versions GameDuell has achieved a substantial and steadily increasing share of sales.
To further this technically complex cross-platform approach, GameDuell continues to seek experienced professionals in the areas of mobile development and game design, technology, data analysis, product management, graphic design and project management. An overview of the available positions can be found on the company website.
