Als Head of Accounting wirst Du die strategische Leitung und Ansprechperson des Finanz­bereichs sein, für alle Themen, die die Buchhaltung des Unternehmens betreffen. Du trägst die Verantwortung für reib­ungslose Arbeits­abläufe sowie für die Weiterentwicklung und Optimierung von Buchhaltungsaufgaben und -prozessen. Deine Aufgaben

• Sukzessive Leitung, Beratung und aktive Unterstützung des Accounting bzw. Finance Teams von bis zu fünf Mitarbeitenden sowohl in strategischen Entscheidungen als auch praktischen Fragen im Tagesgeschäft
• Stakeholder Management und zentrale Ansprechperson für finanzwirtschaftliche Fragestellungen inkl. Steuerrecht
• Zusammenarbeit bei internen und externen Prüfungen im Bereich der Finanzberichterstattung und Konzernrechnungslegung
• Verantwortung für die Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen nach HGB, IFRS und US-GAAP
• Abstimmung der Tochtergesellschaften untereinander (Intercompany- und Verrechnungspreis­regelungen)
• Unterstützung bei der Umsatzverbuchung und Bereitstellung der notwendigen Daten für das Accounting-Team
• Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Berichten an Investoren und Steuerbehörden
• Vorbereitung und Durchführung von Varianz-Analysen (Soll-Ist-Vergleiche), Auswertungen und Kontenabstimmungen  
• Erstellung von Liquiditätsberichten und -planungen, sowie Cash-Pooling
• Erstellung von Konzernabschlüssen nach IFRS

Das solltest Du mitbringen

• Ein erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre (BWL) mit Schwerpunkt Finanzen, Buchhaltung, Controlling und/oder Steuern
• Du hast mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Position und konntest bereits Erfahrungen in der Konsolidierung von Konzerngesellschaften sammeln
• Du bist ein Team-Player und hast relevante Leitungserfahrung inklusive Budget- und Personalverantwortung
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Buchhaltung nach HGB und IFRS und eine hohe Affinität zum deutschen Steuerrecht (KStG, GewStG, UStG), sowie Erfahrung im Umgang mit entsprechender Software wie Quickbooks, SAP BusinessByDesign etc.

Head of Accounting *

As our Head of Accounting you will be in a strategic financial lead position and partner to the Finance team on all matters relating to accounting activities of the organization. You are responsible for seamless workflows as well as for further developments and optimization of accounting tasks and processes. The Head of Accounting will work closely with the CFO and all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Your tasks

• Gradually lead the Accounting team of up to five team members and provide active support in day-to-day business
• Stakeholder managementand central contact for financial inquiries incl. tax law
• Cooperation with internal and external auditors regarding the area of financial reporting and group accounting
• Responsibility for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB, IFRS, and US-GAAP
• Reconciliation of subsidiaries with each other (intercompany and transfer pricing regulations)
• Support in revenue recognition and necessary data for the accounting team
• Support in issuing reports to investors and tax authorities
• Realization of variance analyses, evaluations and account reconciliations
• Set up liquidity reports and planning, as well as cash pooling
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements according to IFRS

What we expect

• You have a degree in economics and a focus on finance, accounting, controlling and/or taxation
• You have several years of professional experience in a comparable position and experience in the consolidation of group companies
• You are a team player and have relevant management experience including budget and personnel responsibility
• Sound knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting, and affinity with German tax law (KStG, GewStG, UStG) and experience with programs such as Quickbooks, SAP BusinessByDesign, etc.

User Acquisition Manager *

Your tasks

• Plan, create, monitor, and optimize paid mobile marketing campaigns across different channels (e.g., Google, Facebook, Unity, and other networks)

Game UI Artist *

As our new Game UI Artist, you will create aesthetic and functional user interfaces for our mobile and social games. Join our diverse, creative, and engaging team. • Work in close collaboration with other artists, UX, game designers, and developers

What we expect

• Completed studies in design, art, digital media, or similar field
• 2+ years of professional experiencecreating user interfaces, graphic design, and assets within fast iterating game production processes
• Skilled with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Unity
• A good workflow in creating clean files that allow for fast iteration and the creation of final art assets

Quality Assurance (QA) Tester - Mobile Games *

As a Quality Assurance Tester for mobile games, you ensure that your project is developed and released to meet stakeholder and customer quality standards. You are embedded in a development team and constantly strive to improve the product and its processes.

Your tasks

• Report, investigate, and follow up on bugs during the full life cycle
• Assess, measure, and report on the overall quality of a product and actively participate in its development
• Write, update, and carry out comprehensive, detailed, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Execute manual and automated test cases
• Develop effective testing strategies

• Take responsibility for all QA processes of a product

What we expect

• 3 yearsof professional experience in mobile QA testing, preferably in the gaming industry
• Outstanding understanding of the current gaming trends in F2P
• Experience working in an agile environment as an embedded QA

Do you know what the components of a game system are, how they relate to the gaming experience, and how they shape a game’s business performance?
 

As a Game System Designer, you play a key role in the game design and development team. From the conceptualization stage to the final polish, you will translate high-level game concepts into complex models of game pace, balance, and economy. As part of the design team, and with your expertise, you are able to create economy and balance rules. You create and maintain the numerical/systems perspective on user behavior and game mechanics through understanding factors of fun and the reasons why people play and, ultimately, pay for the experience.

• Be a creative design partner in defining and sharpening the game vision and high-level experience

Game Economy Designer *

As a Game Economy Designer, you play a key role in designing and managing systems that will enhance the player experience and encourage players to invest in the game. As part of the design team, you are able to create economy and balance rules with your expertise.

Your tasks

• Design and map out game progression from a systems and monetization perspective
• Take full ownership of game monetization, manage pricing of virtual goods, balance game systems, and balance incentivized and purchased items in the game economy context
• Define game specificationsfrom initial concept to launch with economy and playability testing to maximize monetization and user retention
• Take responsibility for the quality of game systems. Analyze content from our current games to design and drive meaningful changes or improvements to economy design and monetization concepts
• Work closely with game designers to match desired player behavior, systems, and creative game design for maximum effect
• Analyze target game genres’ game economies, garnering key insights on how different mechanics provide different monetization potential through player experiences and behavior
• Recommend rewards and monetization game features to create an economic system that fulfills player needs
• Ensure that the game economy design has enough monetization depth and viable content product needs
• Own and communicate the holistic game economy and systems view, allowing for the vetting of concepts and ideas in the economy context
• Provide clear system and economy documentation, diagrams, calculation models, analyses, wireframes, and/or prototypes

What we expect

• A completed university degree in economics, mathematics, or similar
• At least 3 years of proven successful game system design, balancing, pacing & monetization strategies for F2P games
• Highly analytical, skilled at building models and tools to simulate and analyze the game economy and player behavior
• Very good econometrics skills, able to model problems into quantitative systems, and draw qualitative conclusions out of quantitative data
• Statistical knowledge, able to formulate ratios and indexes specific to each game, identifying specific weaknesses and strengths in its economy design
• Detailed knowledge of the social gaming industry, free-to-play, and virtual goods business models on mobile platforms
• High ability to understand player motivations and merge them with business needs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Fluency in English is required

(Senior) Big Data Engineer *

GameDuell is one of the leading casual gaming companies in Germany, based in the heart of Berlin. With over 130 million registered players worldwide and a broad portfolio of over 40 casual online skill games, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our product.

GameDuell's system landscape consists of two larger game platforms which produce a constant stream of messages for processing in our data and analysis environment. This data is integrated, processed, and made available to a variety of data-driven teams, such as Business Intelligence, Product Analysis, Marketing, Customer Service, etc. in an adequate manner.

As a (Senior) Big Data Engineer at GameDuell, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our Big Data infrastructure, understanding, and fulfilling the needs of both business and technical teams for data, as well as serving as an interface between these teams.

Your tasks

• Build, maintain, and optimize the current Big Data infrastructure (on GCP)
• Real-time and batch data processing and aggregation
• Job orchestration and automation
• Design and extension of data models
• Performance optimization, data monitoring, and query analysis
• Effectively drive cross-team solutions
• Participate in architectural decisions, concept creation, andcode reviews 

What we expect

• Completed university degree in the field of Technical Informatics, Computer Science, or similar
• 3+ years of relevant working experience in the design and development of data intensive applications, as well as experience with Cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)
• Excellent core competencies in JAVA
• Very good knowledge of noSQL and SQL databases and technologies including BigQuery, BigTable/HBase, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Profound knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, test driven development, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures
• Fluent English
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work well in a team environment with anAgile mindset

Ideally, you also bring

• Experiencewith Python (OOP) would be a big plus
• Experience with the usage of Apache Beam, Cloud Composer (Airflow) and Kafka as well as experience with Spark, Flink, or other similar technologies
• Knowledge about CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Knowledge of German would be nice to have
