Casual Connect is Europe’s biggest symposium for casual games. This year’s conference took place in Amsterdam from the 16th to the 18th February and, just like every other year; GameDuell was in attendance alongside a whole variety of international games experts.
GameDuells Producers Daniel Kromand and Pablo Tesch held a talk about the challenges we face when designing casual competitive multiplayer games for the mobile market. They presented the five biggest hurdles in realizing multiplayer games on mobile devices. Also they talked about connectivity, how to limit session lengths, and how to make games a social experience.
The findings they presented during their talk came from the development of our latest mobile multiplayer card game Grand Gin Rummy. Right after launch it was featured on the App Store all over the world as one of the best new games.
